Thank you for your registration and confirmation of participation in the VIOBA ANNUAL GOLF 2009.
Please find below relevant information for your perusal:
Venue: NILAI SPRINGS GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB, NILAI
Date/Time: Sunday, 26th July 2009, registration from 6.30am – 7.30 am (Group Photography at 7.45am), followed by shortgun start at 7.55am.
Tournament Fees: RM200.00 (VIOBA members) / RM220.00 (Old Boys who are non members of VIOBA)
(You are however encouraged contribute more than the fees, to go towards VIOBA funds)
Fees cover Green Fees, Shared Caddy per flight, Goodie Bag, Lunch, and of course the chance to be crowned VIOBA Champion (….or flight for 2 to Jakarta in the LUCKY DRAW!!!)
Please note that Breakfast is not inclusive of the fees.
Mode of play will be System 36 – Stableford (Please refer attached Tournament Guidelines)
Prizes will be for Placings 1 to 10. Novelty will be LD (1st nine and 2nd Nine) and NTP (1st Nine and 2nd nine). Also, best gross score 1st nine and 2nd nine.
Ten Lucky Draw Prizes too!!!! We have 19 flights teeing off this Sunday.
This tournament also serves as the selection tournament for 40 golfers to represent VIOBA in the Rivalry Games golf vs St Johns Alumni in November (Date tbc), where the Prime Minister will be playing for SJAA….

Tournament Guidelines
1. The tournament is open to all members of VIOBA and old boys of Victoria Institution (non-members).
2. The maximum number of players for the tournament is 80, on a first come-first-serve basis. Any excess number of players will be put on the waiting list and entered to compete subject to any cancellation of participation of the first 80 players registered. Only registered players who have paid in advance will be guaranteed non-cancellation of participation.
3. The tournament fees shall be paid either in cash or by cheque, made payable to VIOBA and fees paid are non-refundable.
4. Mode of play for the tournament will be System 36 Stableford.
5. Tournament will abide by the rules of the R&A of St Andrews, and any local rules of Nilai Springs Golf & Country Club.
6. Should the round be abandoned and/or called off due to bad weather, the Organising Committee reserves the right to decide o the distribution of prizes and the decision shall be final.
7. The Organising Committee will decide the flight draw and starting time, and reserves the right to alter /change the draw at their discretion.
8. Play shall be off the Blue Tee Box, unless otherwise advised by the club.
9. A player must submit his respective scorecard duly signed and countersigned by his marker as soon as completion of the round and in any event shall not be later than 10 minutes after completion of the round.
10. In an event of a tie, the winner and placings shall be decided on countback (OCB) based on lowest handicap, followed by the last nine holes, last six holes, last three holes and last one hole.
11. All decisions by the Organising Committee are final.
12. Any disputes and appeals that arise during the tournament must be put forward to the organising committee as soon as practicable upon completion of the round and in any event not later than the scheduled prize giving ceremony.
13. VIOBA, the Organising Committee, sponsors and Nilai Springs Golf & Country Club and their staff shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage or harm, or any form of injuries that the participants may suffer as a result of their participation in the tournament.
