What are the signs and symptoms?
|
|
After being bitten by a mosquito carrying the virus, the incubation period ranges from three to fifteen (usually five to eight) days before the signs and symptoms of dengue appear. The signs and symptoms may vary, depending on the form of the disease.

Dengue fever signs and symptoms typically include high fever, severe headache, chills, red eyes and pain behind the eyes, severe muscle and joint pain, nausea and vomiting, backache and rash. Most people who develop dengue fever recover completely within two weeks. However, some may go through several weeks of feeling tired and/or depressed.

Symptoms of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever initially may be indistinguishable from dengue fever, but the hemorrhagic form of dengue fever is more severe and is associated with loss of appetite, vomiting, high fever, headache and abdominal pain, progressing to faintness and generalized bleeding. Circulatory failure and shock may occur, which if untreated, can result in death.

Estimated between 80-100 Players (RM 200.00 per player)
3. Mode of Play/Rules:
Stableford, System 36. Given circle of 3 feet radius in play.
4. Prizes Structure/Winner:
a. Novelty:
(1) 2 NTP, 2 NTL & 1 LD. One prize per player.
(2.) Bull’s Eye – on nominated Par 3 hole at RM10-00 each player.
Participation is discretionary.
b. Event: (1) Best Stableford Trophy, VIOBA Champion
(2) Best Gross (1 unit)
(3) Top 10-15 golfers.
c. Tournament Referee: To be appointed by VIOBA Committee.

Dear Ex-Victorians (scouts or otherwise),
The two scout groups in Victoria Institution (VI), namely the First Kuala Lumpur Scout Group and the Second Kuala Lumpur Scout Group (Victoria Scout Group) are celebrating a centenary of Scouting In VI. The VI Scout Centenary Committee (VISCC) was set up to support the celebration of the centennial events and raise fund for the rebuilding of the Scout Den which was destroyed in a fire in 2007(click on this line to know more...) or if you want to see the post fire report(photos).
A fund raising Centenary Dinner has been planned , incorporating a Gang Show on 31st July 2010 at Park Royal Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. You can support the event through any one (or all) of the followings:
¨ Purchase dinner tables;
¨ Contribute gifts for lucky draws during the dinner;
¨ Purchase advertisement pages in the souvenir book;
¨ Donation of any amount towards the fund for new scout den
We also welcome any other form of contributions. For more details, see attached documents or visit the VISCC blog: http://viscc.blogspot.com. All contribution must be made-out to 'PENYELARAS KO KORIKULUM SMK VICTORIA' and must reach us by 30th June 2010.
